Lost in Translation is an great character study kind of film. I wouldn't rate it as high as the critics have but it's still very good. It has a slow, deliberate pace that will definitely not be to everyone's liking. This movie seems to try to advertise itself as being a bit of a horror film, but it isn't. It is more suspenseful than anything else, with a few bits of scary thrown in (a lot of that is just because of the subject matter). It has an actual plot and story, which is refreshing for a 'scary movie'. Overall I like'd it, and I'll probably eventually buy it.

I'm kind of interested in this one. It's got everything I like in a movie...suspense, wilderness adventure, Tommy Lee Jones. Plus it was filmed out here in Portland and Silver Falls State Park a couple of years ago. It's always fun to see what Hollywood does to beef up the look of your home town.
